The purpose of a Pacom Controller is to control, monitor, and maintain security for a remote site. It is located at the site itself and performs all alarm and door control functions.

All Pacom Controllers have dual capabilities, supporting both alarm and access control functions. They also have dual flash memory capabilities that allow for easy remote firmware upgrade with minimal operational interference and system downtime.

Pacom Controllers are modular based, allowing you to expand support for the number of card readers, I/O expansion cards, alarm areas and cardholders as a system grows in size.

The offline capabilities of Pacom Controllers allows them to handle access control without requiring a connection to the GMS head system.

Generally, a Pacom Controller can handle up to 256,000 cardholders.
